Year 5, Hussein - the water boy

Class: Miss L Pool - Windermere Year: 2021 - 2022

This week we have been gathering information about Howard Carter and the discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb as we are working towards writing a newspaper article.

Today we learned about Hussein, a young water carrier working at Howard Carter's excavations in the Valley of the Kings in 1922. 
After listening to his story we thought about some questions we would like to ask him. We then completed some hot seating in role as Hussein. 
We had some fantastic answers that clearly showed the children had learnt.
