Newspaper Edition 1 Launched

The children have been very busy over the last few weeks putting the school newspaper together.  With much relief, we were able to officially 'go to print' this week.  To launch the 1st edition yesterday, we visited 3 stores in Whitehaven: Santander, Richardson's Wines and Hospice at Home; to deliver 30 copies to be sold in their respective stores.  We also gave the very first edition to Ella G, who you may remember won the competition to design the school newspaper logo.

Today the newspapers went officially on sale on the playground with 40 copies getting snapped up in under 10 minutes.  We will continue to sell the newspapers for the next 2 weeks, while our talented journalists find the next big story.  If any parents would like to buy a copy we will be selling copies on the yard for £1 at the end of the day.

All profits raised will be split between the excellent charity work of Hospice at Home and school funds.  A big well done to all of the children involved in putting the project together.
