Class: Mrs Pickering - Bassenthwaite Year: 2021 - 2022
Lower school have been learning about Islam and exploring the question ‘what does Islam teach Muslims about how to live their lives?’
We have been looking at where Islam was first founded, who prophet Muhammad is and why he is special. Next we thought about the five pillars of Islam and why the help Muslims live their lives. We then used this structure to make our own pillars for our school which included our values and motto.
A lot of the children started to make links with Christianity and Islam.
We have really enjoyed learning about this religion together.
