Derwentwater - Collagraphs Printing Drawing

Class: Mr Carruthers - Derwentwater Year: 2022 - 2023

Our Art unit was based on a space theme.  We looked at other artists' futuristic drawings (Ralph McQuarrie and Gavin Thorogood who is a former pupil of St James's).  We tested materials for texture and paint marking.  Then we created a collagraph and used it to print the space abstract background.  Finally, we drew onto our background with our own futuristic images, using pen, pencil, charcoal, and pastels.

This has been one of the best art projects we have ever worked on, we are so proud of the results.
