Class 6 - sacred spaces

Class: Miss A Pool - Buttermere Year: 2019 - 2020

This week classes have been taking part in a 'Sacred Space' week in St. James'  church - the theme this year was The Lord's Prayer.

The children went round 7 stations and explored a different part of the Lord's Prayer. The children had things to read, something to do, and something to reflect on.

They ended the session by coming together and summing up the Lord’s Prayer, then they shared juice and a biscuit.

A huge thank you to Reverend Jackson and the team of volunteers.

Here are some of the children's responses;

Forgive us our trespasses - What have you learned?

Keir - That God will forgive us whatever we’ve done.

Noah - Stop that person from hurting us.

For thine is the kingdom the power and the glory, for ever and ever.

Smile at someone

Open the door

Hallowed be your name.

Don’t use the lords name in vain.

Try not to shout it out when you are angry.

He is patient. Linked to creation

What was your favourite part?

Daniel - getting the glow stick wrist band. I learned that God is the king and when you put the band on you get ready to show the light in you.

Give us this day our daily bread - Where do you get Gods help?

Charlotte - school

Jasmine - home

Our father who art in heaven -  who could do with some joy in their life?

Mam, my dog, grandad, Nana, parents.
