Class 6 - Advent, a time for preparation

Class: Miss A Pool - Buttermere Year: 2019 - 2020

We started the lesson by making a word cloud using Mentimeter. The children listed 10 words they think of when they hear the word Christmas. 

We then watched a short film called Papa Panov’s visitor, the story is from Russia. The children used this story to explore advent as a time of waiting and preparation. They then thought about the gifts Papa Panov gave and times they had shared these gifts. E.g love, kindness, friendship, compassion, clothes and hope.
