Class 4 - Travelling Through Time

Class: Mr Carruthers - Derwentwater Year: 2018 - 2019

We have been on a time-travel walk through Whitehaven.  We uploaded old photos of Whitehaven to Google Maps; then we visited the same places as they are now to compare photographs.  It was really interesting to see the changes and to learn some extra secrets about the town that we'd never noticed before!!

Mr Carruthers also ran into his old infants school teacher when we were in Castle Park; and some of his old pupils, who were now teenagers, from another school when we were on the harbour.  We even saw an old fashioned Hartley's ice-cream van!!

 It was a time-travel day in more ways than one.
