Class 4 - Dragon Scales Glockenspiels

Class: Mr Carruthers - Derwentwater Year: 2018 - 2019

Dragon Scales is a technique used in music whereby you remove two of the notes from a set of keys, and slightly shift the order down one key (starting at G instead of A)  and it becomes easy to compose melodies that just somehow sound right.  It is a perfect way to begin our new music unit.  We are learning, all this term, to play the glockenspiels.  

We have used these in Music before and we aim to now master the instrument.  Below are some videos of our early compositions.
