Buttermere - Melting Points

On Friday Buttermere looked at the process of melting. We explored the different temperatures that items melt at. To do this we melted gummy bears, marshmallows, chocolate buttons and butter on a burner using a small tealight. We then used a thermometer to record the temperature the item melted at. We had to be very careful to not burn our fingers! The butter melted the fastest but the chocolate was the tastiest.
