Bassenthwaite - Texture pictures

Class: Mrs Pickering - Bassenthwaite Year: 2022 - 2023

We tried to understand how texture can be created and used to make art.
We went outside of the classroom and found some different textures and took some rubbings of them. Using different colours we considered the technique of 'frotage'. With our different textures we used tearing and cutting to create a texture picture of a flower in the style of Maud Perdy on a dark background.
