The children created their own advent prayers for today's service.

Dear Father,

Thank you for giving us this time of peace and respect. As we celebrate your son Jesus Christs birth. We are also grateful that you give people a chance to spend time together with their family and share their love from the heart.

Dear God,

Let us think about the joyful day when Jesus was born. A time of peace and love to spend time with our precious family.

Dear Lord,

Thank you for the happy time of year at Christmas. Let’s take a minute to think about people less fortunate than ourselves. In the hustle and bustle of Christmas let’s not forget the true meaning of Christmas and the time we spend with family.

At this time of year we need to think about people less fortunate than us and people who are homeless. This Christmas we need to remember that it’s not all about presents, it’s about spending more time with family and friends.
