27.6.19 Child led collective worship

Class: Church Links & RE Year: 2018 - 2019

On Thursday the collective worship committee planned and led their own collective worship. They talked about friendship and what it means to be a good friend. They then went on tell us about one of Jesus' friends St James. They wanted to make it interactive so they got a range of children up to take part in a true or false quiz.

A big well done to the committee on your first collective worship. Mrs Milligan

Here are some of the children's responses to the worship;

Who led it?

The collective worship committee.

One thing I really liked...

Olivia & George - The true or false quiz.

Jimi - The questions about friendship.

Jacob - The song choice.

It would have been better if...

Olivia, Jimi & Jacob - They spoke clearly and didn't rush. The point explained in more detal.

George - They made the bible reading more fun and interesting.

One thing I'll remember is...

George - St James had one brother and he was 62 when he died.

Olivia - His grave is the 3rd most visited place for Christians.

Jimi - That he was a fisherman.

Jacob - St James is the name of our school and church. St James was a real person.
