Class 4 Macbeth Vs Banksy

Class: Mr Carruthers - Derwentwater Year: 2018 - 2019

We've been studying the art of the famous Banksy.  He takes boring or mundane parts of urban areas and adds some art which inspires or makes people think.

We tried to use the Banksy style around areas of the school that were just pretty average bits of buildings or concrete.

The twist is that we used our work on Shakespeare as a context.  Shakespeare is responsible for many famous quotes and sayings such as "off with his head", "foul-play",  "break the ice"  and "a sorry sight" .... We pretended that Shakespeare had became Banksy and had been doing his own street art around the school!!

Obviously, we added a touch of blood and gore (a common theme in Macbeth).  See what you think of Shakespeare's Banksy-Style Street Art.  We hope these will one day be sold at auction for millions (but then hopefully not shredded straight afterwards!!)
