Year 6 Residential = Day 1

After an early start, the children arrived at Chester Zoo in good time.  The children spent the day taking in the sights and learning many new facts about their favourite animals and a few obscure ones too.  As always the children were really well behaved and courteous towards the general public.  At 4pm we continued down to Whitchurch and arrived at our base for the week. We all enjoyed an evening meal of meatballs and pasta followed by shortbread.  It has been a lovely summers evening. Some of the children took to the lawn for a game of football while others enjoyed relaxing in the games room.  We finished off an excellent Day 1 with a dvd showing of The Greatest Showmen.  Some pretty tired children have just settled for the night, ready for another exciting day tomorrow.
