Year 6 Residential - Day 2

An early start for the group who enjoyed a hearty breakfast and then departed for our first stop at Wroxeter Roman City.  The children had a step-by-step guide through the various sites and buildings.  It seems that the highlight was seeing the communal Roman toilets and a historic 2000 yr old sponge used to wipe roman bottoms. We then travelled over to Blisthill Victorian Museum for a walk through time. The children had a great time visiting a Victorian school, fairground, iron mongers, pharmacist and post office.  The children enjoyed some treats from the Victorian sweet shop and Victorian chip shop; and the teachers resisted the temptation of a cheeky half in a victorian pub.  The children are just settling for bed after a shower as we look forward to tomorrows adventures.  All fit and well and having a great time!!!
