Windermere - Art Week Day 3

Lesson: Art and design

Class: Miss L Pool - Windermere Year: 2022 - 2023

This afternoon in Windermere we got to work with some printing. Our collographs had dried overnight and were set into place so we covered the whole thing in our first layer of paint. We then printed onto some A3 paper before going in and covering our collograph with a second layer of paint in a different colour. We then printed again creating a mix of colours and some interesting patterns! This A3, printed sheet will be the background for our design. Whilst we left this to dry, we got to work at practising our design that we will be adding on top of the paint tomorrow. At first, we talked about the meaning of 'retrofuturism' and 'futurism' as our design is our own interpretation of what the world may look like in 50 years. We have some very interesting ideas - some optimistic, some pessimistic and some very scary indeed!
