Prayer space - Christian value focus

Lesson: Religious education

Class: Church Links & RE Year: 2017 - 2018

Today class 6 took their learning outside into the new prayer space area. While we were there the children reflected on this terms value 'thankfulness'. We started off exploring Bible passages that talk about being thankful and how we can use Jesus' teachings in everyday life. Next we brainstormed the ways in which we show thankfulness in school. We ended the session by thinking about 5 people who we are thankful for in our lives. The children wrote their names onto a hand shape, while they were folding each finger they said a personal prayer of thanks

The children were very reflective throughout the session and came up with some lovely ways they demonstrate thankfulness.
