Class 6 - A quiet space

Lesson: Religious education

Class: Church Links & RE Year: 2018 - 2019

After exploring Buddhist shrines last week, today class 6 designed their own quiet area. We discussed why a quiet room would be a good idea, Lexie and Joe said that they could reflect on things and be at peace with themselves. We also thought about the type of things we might find in this area. The children came up with a very good list; Candles, peaceful music, books, a comfy chair, photographs of loved ones and paint materials. One child designed a balcony where they had space to draw and be at peace with themselves. Another child put in extra windows so they could look at the beautiful world around them.
