Class 3 - Whitehaven Mosaics

Class: Mr Carruthers - Derwentwater Year: 2021 - 2022

We have spent most of today working on an art project. We studied mosaics around Whitehaven's streets and harbour, then learned about the techniques used to create these.

We have tried to create mosaics that had a centre piece which represented something from Whitehaven's history, then some decoration around it.

Keeping the drawings as a simple as possible and planning where we were going to fit in the tiles was the hardest part.
