All of years 5 and 6 recently took part in the British Heart Foundation's 'Heartstart' Emergency Life Support Programme where children learned: how to put people in the recovery position; how to administer chest compressions; what to do in the case of someone choking and how to deal with a severe bleed. Many thanks to Cumbria paramedics for delivering these potentially 'life saving' sessions.
