Welcome to the Art page. 

The Art scheme of work offers full curriculum coverage. It provides children with the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge across four key areas: Drawing, Painting and mixed media, Sculpture and 3D and Craft and design. Art and Design Technology are taught on alternate half terms throughout the school year.

Children experience the key principles of art through broad and balanced units, including exploration of the work of a wide range of artists and makers. Pupils are guided in the skills required to explore, analyse and discuss art. They are encouraged to combine their knowledge of what constitutes‘art’, specific artists and techniques with their own experiences to evaluate artworks and to inform their own creative practices.
