Class 6 - using chocolate to explore different types of rocks

Class: Miss A Pool - Buttermere Year: 2020 - 2021

Today we used chocolate bars to help explain and identify rock types. The children watched a video which explained what igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic rocks are. Then they used the magnifying glass to explore examples of these rocks. Finally we used aero, Kit Kats and boosts to help us remember the 3 types of rocks.
They all agreed that the chocolate equivalent of sedimentary rock was a Kit Kat, igneous = aero and metamorpic = boost.
