Advent - a time for waiting.

This week we have been thinking about advent and what Christians are preparing for. After listening to Mr Beattie's assembly about advent, we decided to research and find out what each of the advent candles means and when each candle is lit.
We discussed how Jesus is seen as 'The light of the World ' by Christians. They believe Jesus and God guide them to be a good person, be kind and caring. We thought about the people who are lights in our world and how they guide us. The children were very thoughtful in their responses.
